Crystal Hemann is a Texas Tech University Petroleum Engineering graduate with more than 10 years of Permian Basin experience. She started her career as a frac engineer and later moved into operations roles with Catalyst Oilfield Services, Shell, and ConocoPhillips, building a broad background in field development and production operations. Today, she works for Diamondback Energy as a Senior Reservoir Engineer.
Crystal has been involved with the Southwestern Petroleum Short Course and the Permian Basin Artificial Lift Forum (PBALF) since 2020, serving as PBALF Chair in 2021 and 2025. She is passionate about supporting the next generation of engineers through mentorship and industry engagement. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, playing tennis, and taking on home improvement projects.
