Ian Bowling is currently the Shale & Tight Subsurface Pump Center of Excellence Manager at Chevron. The team is responsible for supporting all aspects of downhole pumps: technical training, design assurance, surveillance & optimization tools, performance & reliability monitoring, supplier management, best practices, and the technology frontier. Prior to this, he was a production engineering team lead in Midland Basin. Relatively new to land and unconventionals, Ian has over a decade of experience in deepwater production operations in a variety of roles including flow assurance, production engineer, operations supervisor, and advisor to the operations general manager. Ian has Chemical Engineering degrees from Auburn '08 and Texas A&M '10. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, playing music, and untangling fly line in Colorado.
