Pump Off Controllers (POC's) for sucker rod pumping are a proven tool that can reduce failures and operating costs while optimizing a well. However, many are not being utilized properly due to a lack of training and/or understanding.
In this class we will build a basic understanding of dynamometer cards to better understand how to set control parameters, troubleshoot, and optimize a well. We will discuss various POC parameters that are utilized for stand alone controllers and VSD's for fluid pound and gas interference, various related outputs that can be used to monitor and troubleshoot a well. Examples will be shared along with best practices.
