This course provides basic understanding of the different types of carbonate acidizing processes. Key reservoir engineering and geologic principles are addressed to better meet the objectives of acidizing procedures. The impact of perforating damage on acidizing success is highlighted. Additive alternatives are reviewed as well as special application procedures. Advances in diversion technologies will be explored for both vertical and horizontal wells. Practical field experiences are included that help participants understand the complexities of both primary and remedial acidizing procedures. The framework provided by this course will materially improve acidizing profitability
