Pressure, Flow, & Temperature Solutions
Honest Bill Core, known as “The Oilman’s Friend,” established Instrument Maintenance in 1962. Initially, he would go out into the Big Country area, retrieve broken equipment and gauges, and bring them back to the office then located in the 600 block of South Treadaway.
Bill and his wife Phyllis started Instrument Maintenance to support their five children. All of their children worked at Instrument Maintenance in some capacity during high school or college.
After Bill’s death in 1987, his son, Bill Jr., took over the business. Bill Jr. recognized the need for Instrument Maintenance in the Permian Basin and expanded from a single location in Abilene. He added sales offices in Lubbock and Midland. Since the late 1980s, Instrument Maintenance evolved from a single sales and repair shop to the regional distributor for Pressure, Flow, and Temperature instrumentation and equipment. We have also expanded our sales to include municipalities and industrial manufacturers. For nearly 10 years, Instrument Maintenance has supplied chlorination equipment and repair services to cities across West Texas. The company remains family-owned, with Bill Jr. at the helm and his two sons, Isaiah and Daniel, managing the business today.
Honest Bill’s legacy endures through Instrument Maintenance’s commitment to providing quality products, superior service, and outstanding customer care.
