Pinar Karpuz-Pickell

Pinar Karpuz-Pickell has seven years of teaching and over ten years of hands-on engineering and research experience in academic and industrial settings. She is a published author and has presented at multiple conferences. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Middle East Technical University, followed by a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering. After her post-doctoral fellowship at Texas A&M University, she began her oilfield career. She is currently the Quality Systems Manager for Lufkin Industries, where she oversees the Quality Management Systems for Lufkin Manufacturing locations and supports the Lufkin Engineering and Sales teams through failure analysis, new product development, and R&D projects.
